By accessing or using IncidentOps ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including workspace administrators and team members.

2. Description of Service

IncidentOps is a Slack application that helps engineering teams manage incidents and generate AI-powered postmortems. The Service includes incident tracking, timeline capture, postmortem generation, and related features accessible through Slack commands and our web interface.

3. Account Registration

To use IncidentOps, you must:

  • Have a valid Slack workspace
  • Install the IncidentOps app with appropriate workspace permissions
  • Provide accurate information during the installation process
  • Be authorized to bind your organization to these terms if using on behalf of a company

4. Subscription and Billing

IncidentOps offers both free and paid subscription tiers:

  • Free Tier: Basic incident tracking with limited history retention.
  • Pro Tier: Full features including AI-powered postmortems, unlimited history, and export capabilities.

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time, and your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are provided at our discretion.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to it
  • Use the Service to store or transmit malicious code or malware
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
  • Resell, sublicense, or transfer access to the Service without permission
  • Use automated systems to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable use

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of all incident data, postmortems, and other content you create using the Service ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process Your Content as necessary to provide the Service, including generating AI-powered postmortems. We will not use Your Content to train AI models or share it with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. AI-Generated Content

Postmortems generated by our AI feature are provided as suggestions to help your team. You are responsible for reviewing and editing AI-generated content before sharing or publishing. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated postmortems for any particular purpose.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may temporarily suspend access for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned downtime.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IncidentOps and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app from your Slack workspace. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and we may delete Your Content in accordance with our data retention policies.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting an announcement through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
